Heard someone say ‘Mum life comes in Waves’?
The emotions, the sleep regressions, the growth spurts, the ‘hard times’.
It’s true.
Somedays can feel like small waves, doable, a little rough but you can handle it ok.
Other days feel so smooth that you wonder if the moon and the sun were freaky aligned.
Then there are days that feel like the waves are so big that you might drown…
And thats ok. I know you want to be able to talk about how you are REALLY feeling. Unfiltered, unjustified and without judgement.
I hear you and I feel you Mumma.
That’s why I created The Waves.
Meet Tash
"I believe you deserve a calm,
supported postpartum experience—
and I’m here to help you get it."
My Why: From "Should’s" to Support
I started my doula journey not because motherhood was easy for me, but because it was messy, lonely, and absolutely nothing like the picture I had in my head.
I remember the crushing exhaustion: a baby who didn't sleep, feeding struggles, and constant spew. My husband worked long hours, and I spent every ounce of energy trying to mother the way I felt I should, even when every instinct in my body screamed to do things differently. I felt isolated, overwhelmed, and completely stripped of my confidence. I also learned that these challenges were felt beyond the first few weeks. Which is why my support is for the whole journey.
That experience taught me the truth: The pressure to be 'perfect' is the biggest threat to a mother's well-being.
My mission is to ensure you don't walk that road alone. I am here to be the reliable, judgment-free support I desperately needed then.
My Professional Commitment: Safety, Trust, and Validation
My level of care is underpinned by specialized training that ensures you feel safe, seen, and deeply respected:
University Degree in Psychology: My support is rooted in Trauma-Informed Training and Strengths-Based Practice. This means I always focus on your existing abilities, never push, and respect your personal boundaries and choices above all else.
Experience in Sensitive Spaces: My professional background includes working in the domestic violence (DV) space, which has given me an acute understanding of complex family dynamics, safety, and the critical need for a non-judgmental, protective presence in your home.
Postpartum Doula - I trained with Newborn Mothers as a Postpartum Education and Care Professional
My entire approach is built on two core beliefs:
Your Instincts Are Developing, Not Instant: We are often told "mother's intuition" just switches on, but that’s not always true! It's a skill you develop through practice, rest, and unwavering validation. I'm here to gently help you find and trust your inner voice as it grows stronger every day.
You Are Worthy of Care: My care is focused 100% on you, the mother. Whether you need a hot meal, a quiet space to cry, or someone to manage the chaos so you can simply shower, I am there to nurture you so you can nurture your family. My support extends through your baby's entire first year.
